Golf can be a stressful game, no matter how good (or bad) you are! So golfers at the 10th Annual Delta Dental Golf4Smiles event appreciated the Carrington College Physical Therapy Technology program students who were on hand to provide blood pressure checks, chair and table massages to players out on the course! The charity tournament, which took place in May at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ, was presented by local Carrington College campuses. The event gave Phoenix West and Mesa Physical Therapy Technology program students a unique chance to hone their skills, as golfers made their way round the course. As a bonus, students could find their “action” photos in the June/July issue of North Valley Magazine. A huge success all around, the event itself raised more than $100,000 for the Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation. Since 1997, the Foundation has promoted oral health and worked to prevent dental disease in children and youth through age 18, with an emphasis in underserved and uninsured communities. 100% of the contributions received through the Foundation are used for programs and services in the community, not administrative costs. As a result, donors know that every penny they contribute is used for programs that serve children. The Foundation has provided more than $7 million in community grants to oral health promotion and dental disease prevention programs in Arizona since 1997.
