Medical Assisting
Much like their dental counterparts—dental assistants—medical assistants help physicians in private offices, hospitals, and other settings treat patients. Medical assistants may work on patient care, including taking vital signs and preparing specimens for lab testing, as well as administrative duties, such as recording patient histories and scheduling appointments. Carrington’s Medical Assisting program in Spokane can be completed in as few as nine months.

Pharmacy technicians interact with many people in their job, helping deliver important medications to those with illnesses or chronic conditions. Medical Billing and Coding
If you prefer to be more behind the scenes and to work with fewer patients, you may consider medical billing and coding. Medical billers and coders help record patient history in a designated medical language, or code, so it can be read on electronic health records and understood by complex medical insurance carriers. They also help physicians and other medical professionals get paid by submitting bills to insurance carriers and following up until bills are paid. Our Medical Billing and Coding program in Spokane can be completed with a certificate in as few as nine months.
*This program is available in a Blended Online Format.
