Nursing Bridge or LVN to ADN
Nursing has many different levels ranging from certificates to master’s degrees or even PhDs. This means it’s always an option to return to school and advance your degree. One program designed for just that is our LVN to ADNprogram in Sacramento. This program is designed for licensed vocational nurses who want to gain an Associate Degree in Nursing. The LVN to ADN program can be completed in as few as eight months.
Medical Assisting
Medical assistants are a vital part of any healthcare office, completing administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. A medical assistant may take a patient’s vital signs, record a patient’s history and personal information, and schedule appointments. Learn more about the Medical Assisting program.
Pharmacy Technology
As another option for those who want to interact with the public daily, but who may not want to perform clinical tasks, our Pharmacy Technology program provides a comprehensive education for those who want to work as a pharmacy technician. Pharmacy technicians assistant pharmacists in delivering medications to the public. A pharmacy technician may work in a retail pharmacy like Walgreens or in an in-house pharmacy at medical facilities, among other work settings. Complete your pharmacy technician training in as few as nine months.
Dental Assisting
Dental assistants help hygienists and dentists with routine procedures like passing instruments and sterilizing equipment, and may work to make patients more comfortable as they visit a dental office. Carrington College’s Dental Assisting program includes classes on anatomy, physiology, and radiography, dental sealants and procedures, as well as front office duties and patient care.
Dental Hygiene
During routine office visits, a patient may spend the majority of their time with a dental hygienist. Dental hygienists remove plaque and tartar, polish teeth, and help train patients on good oral health. Students in the Carrington College Dental Hygiene program gain the skills and knowledge to provide comprehensive dental hygiene care. Instruction helps students develop professional communication skills with patients, colleagues and the public, as well as knowledge of ethical standards and professional behavior.
Veterinary Technology
Veterinary technicians work with veterinarians and vet assistants to care for animals in both routine and emergency settings. Vet techs may draw blood, check vitals, administer medications, and communicate with an animal’s owner. You can earn an Associate Degree and prepare for the Veterinary Technician National Examination* in as few as 19 months at our Veterinary Technology program.
Electrical Technology
Students in our Electrical Technology program will study and master the basic principles, applications, concepts, and functions of electrical circuitry.
