Carrington College Commemorates 50 Years of Health Care Education

More than 120,000 students have graduated to date

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – November 2, 2017 – Carrington College has been educating health care professionals since 1967. The institution is proud to celebrate 50 years of empowering individuals to improve their lives and expanding quality health care in the communities it serves. Founded in 1967 in Sacramento, California, the College now has campuses in eight states and offers 20 different programs.

Carrington College offers a diverse range of programs that lead to a Certificate of Achievement or Associate of Science degree. More than 120,000 certificates and degrees have been earned by career-ready professionals at Carrington College to date. With programs from Registered Nursing and Dental Hygiene to Veterinary Assisting, Carrington College is dedicated to finding the health care program that will help each student reach his or her career goals. We offer Carrington College students the opportunity to begin careers in the health care field quickly, with programs designed for completion in less than one year.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of healthcare occupations is projected to grow 19 percent from 2014 to 2024, adding about 2.3 million new jobs. Carrington College is actively filling the need for entry-level health care professionals, with program offerings in the medical, dental and veterinary fields.

“The instructors have so much knowledge. Every time I needed help, they were more than willing to stay after class to give me the extra time. They made me feel very secure, they really want you to succeed,” said Carrington College Veterinary Technology graduate Lerenzo Martinez.
