WWCD?

As a student at Carrington  you’re well on your way to achieving something great in your life. Part of our job, as faculty and staff, is to provide you with resources that help to keep you moving in the right direction. That includes guidance whenever you need it – but try as we might, we can’t be with you 24/7, especially once you go out on a clinical, an externship, or after you graduate.

Carrington College isn’t a person… we all know that, but just think outside the box for a moment. If you find yourself in a situation where you’re not quite sure what the right course of action is, imagine your school as a human being and ask ‘What Would Carrington do?’

It’s always our goal to deliver the technical skills you’ll need for your professional career, but we also aim to help you develop the well-rounded personal skills needed to enjoy success in your chosen career.

Carrington faculty and staff work together as a team, trying to instill in you the virtues that employers look for in a modern health care professional. So that’s why we suggest you ask yourself ‘WWCD’?’

We want you to follow our lead… and lead by example. Always try to act, look and communicate as a professional in all walks of life. If you find yourself in a situation where you have to ask yourself ‘Should I be doing this?’ – the answer is probably “no”. Ask yourself ‘What would Carrington do?’

Whether it’s what you post to your social media accounts, or how you conduct yourself in class, or how you prepare for an interview, think about how your actions will reflect on you both as a person and as a health care professional. ‘What would Carrington do?’

‘Carrington’ may be personified as something or someone different for each of you. It might be your favorite instructor, a member of the Career Services team, maybe the Enrollment Services Representative who helped you start out on this exciting journey. Perhaps it’s your Program Director. For many of you it might be a collective of several influential people in your school career.

But whoever, or whatever, Carrington personifies to you – think what they would do, and what they would want you to do, when you ask yourself ‘What would Carrington do?’
