Program Overview

Prepare for a job as a Maintenance Technician. Carrington College’s Maintenance Technician (M-Tech) program is designed to provide fundamental, hands-on training on industrial systems and equipment. Employers are looking for individuals who can maintain the equipment required for the operation of modern industrial facilities. Troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate solutions are valuable assets to these organizations. Students in the Maintenance Technician program will study and master the basic principles, concepts and functions of hydraulic systems, bearing and seal types, power transmission components and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). With Carrington College’s hands-on approach to training, graduates are prepared to work in a variety of commercial and manufacturing settings as a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Machine Repairer, Facilities Maintenance Technician and Building Maintenance Mechanic.
