Carrington College’s Spokane campus provides career-focused, hands-on Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Pharmacy Technology, Massage Therapy, and Veterinary Assisting certificate programs. An online Medical Billing and Coding program is also available through the Online Division.

Conveniently located in the magnificent Spokane Valley, the campus sits just north of I-90 and is a 20-minute drive from downtown Spokane. Easily accessed by public transit stops on Knox Avenue, Argonne Road, or Sprague Avenue. The Carrington College Spokane campus serves Spokane Valley and surrounding communities, including Liberty Lake, Cheney, Mead, Nine Mile Falls, and Suncrest.

Healthcare & Medical Programs Available at Carrington College’s Spokane Campus

Pharmacy Technology

For students who want to work in a healthcare setting but may not want to perform clinical tasks, Carrington College’s Pharmacy Technology program provides a comprehensive education for entry-level positions assisting pharmacists in delivering medications to the public. A pharmacy technician may work in a retail pharmacy or in an in-house pharmacy at medical facilities, among other work settings. ⁽¹⁾ Complete your pharmacy technician training and earn a Certificate of Achievement in as few as 9 months.

Medical Assisting

Medical assistants complete administrative and clinical tasks in physicians’ offices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities, including taking a patient’s vital signs, recording a patient’s history and personal information, and scheduling appointments. ⁽²⁾ Students can complete Carrington College’s Medical Assisting program in as few as 9 months.

Massage Therapy

Students in the Carrington College Massage Therapy program study the anatomy and physiology, terminology, function, and structure of the body’s muscular, skeletal, and internal systems, as well as ethics and business concerns. Earn your Certificate of Achievement in as few as 9 months.

Medical Billing and Coding

Carrington College’s Medical Billing and Coding program trains future medical secretaries with the specialized skills and knowledge necessary to perform medical coding and process medical insurance billing and claims within healthcare settings. All courses in this program are offered online, except for an in-person externship completed at an approved healthcare setting. Earn your Certificate of Achievement in as few as 9 months. The certificate is conferred from the Spokane campus for Washington residents.

Dental Assisting

Dental assistants help hygienists and dentists with routine procedures like passing instruments and sterilizing equipment, and may work to make patients more comfortable. ⁽³⁾ Carrington College’s Dental Assisting program includes classes on anatomy, physiology, and radiography; dental sealants and procedures; and front office duties and patient care. Earn your Certificate of Achievement in as few as 9 months.

Veterinary Programs Available at Carrington College’s Spokane Campus

Veterinary Assisting

If you prefer furry friends to human ones, you may want to consider a career in veterinary assisting. Vet assistants help feed and bathe animals, keep veterinary offices clean and sanitized, and generally assist other veterinary professionals. ⁽⁴⁾ Carrington College’s Veterinary Assisting program can be completed in as few as 9 months.
