Always supervised by licensed veterinarians, Vet Techs carry out a range of duties in a veterinary practice; from surgical nursing, to assisting with lab work, to office administration tasks, Veterinary Technicians are versatile, valued employees.
Because hands-on care is so important in this profession, the Pleasant Hill Veterinary Technology faculty uses a skills-based approach to teaching. Students do have formal classroom instruction, but they also have the opportunity to regularly work with live animals and animal simulators in lab practice sessions.
