Carrington College’s Tucson campus provides hands-on medical training programs in southern Arizona, some of which can be completed in as few as 9 months. Our program offerings include Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Pharmacy Technology, Associate Degree in Nursing, Massage Therapy, Medical Billing and Coding, and Veterinary Assisting.

The campus is conveniently located just west of I-10 between Congress and St. Mary’s Road, close to public transportation. We serve Tucson and the surrounding communities, including Oro Valley, Vail, Catalina Foothills, Marana, and Dove Mountain.

Carrington College Pharmaacy Technology

Pharmacy Technology

Students who want to help the public but prefer not to perform clinical tasks should consider our Pharmacy Technology program. Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in delivering medications to the public. They may work in a retail pharmacy like Walgreens or in an in-house pharmacy at medical facilities, among other work settings. (1) Complete your pharmacy technician training in as few as 9 months.

Carrington's Dental Assisting Program

Dental Assisting

Dental assistants help hygienists and dentists with routine procedures like passing instruments and sterilizing equipment, and may work to make patients more comfortable as they visit a dental office. (2) Carrington College’s Dental Assisting program includes classes on anatomy, physiology, and radiography, dental sealants and procedures, as well as front office duties and patient care. Earn your Certificate of Achievement in as few as 9 months.

Registered Nursing

Registered nurses (RNs) provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their families. (3) Carrington College’s Registered Nursing program helps prepare you for RN licensure.* Earn your Associate Degree in Nursing in as few as 23 months.

Medical assistants are a vital part of any healthcare office, completing administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. (4) Our Medical Assisting program teaches students the skills for entry-level employment as a medical assistant, including how to take a patient’s vital signs, administer medication safely, record patient history, and schedule appointments. Earn your Certificate of Achievement in as few as 9 months.

Medical Billing and Coding Guide Featured

Medical Billing and Coding

Carrington College’s Medical Billing and Coding program equips future medical secretaries with the specialized skills and knowledge to perform medical coding and manage insurance billing and claims processing. All coursework is delivered online, with the exception of an in-person externship completed at an approved healthcare facility. Students can earn a Certificate of Achievement or an associate degree in as few as 9-13 months.

Veterinary Assisting

More interested in caring for furry patients than human ones? Carrington College’s Veterinary Assisting program might be the right choice for you. Vet assistants help feed and bathe animals, keep veterinary offices clean and sanitized, and generally assist other veterinary professionals. (5) Carrington College’s Veterinary Assisting program can be completed in as few as 9 months.

Easy Student Access

Carrington College’s Tucson campus is easy to access. We’re just west of the I-10 between Congress and St. Mary’s Road on the other side of downtown. The campus is close to public transportation, including the #3, #21, and #22 bus lines and the Loop shuttle.

Modern Facilities

Our 26,000-square-foot campus offers a diverse learning environment, including classrooms featuring ceiling-mounted LCD projectors. The campus provides spaces designed to give students valuable hands-on training in realistic settings, including well-equipped Dental Assisting and Veterinary Assisting labs and a medical library equipped with reference materials, textbooks, and journals. Additionally, the Carrington College library website offers online resources and information on professional organizations.

Classrooms Geared for Learning

Campus classrooms include a simulation retail pharmacy laboratory, a digital imaging system for Dental Assisting students, and EKG machines, Autoclaves, and an Injection Arm Trainer for students in medical programs.
