Santa Maria Campus Physical Resources
With nearly 16,000 square feet, the Santa Maria campus serves students in all neighboring communities between San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara. The campus features a primary entrance leading to a reception area, along with administrative offices for staff, administrative support, and student services. The campus features lecture rooms and a computer lab to support large group instruction and computer access for all campus programs. Additionally, there are designated lab training spaces for students in the Medical Assisting and Vocational Nursing programs. Medical Office Administration students benefit from dedicated lecture space to complete their studies. Additionally, the campus features a simulation room and skills lab specifically for Vocational Nursing students. Students also have access to a library and learning resource center, as well as a student lounge for breaks. Faculty and staff can enjoy a private lounge for relaxation.
Classrooms are designed to replicate the professional environments students will encounter in their careers, such as hospital rooms, doctors’ offices, and pharmacies. Each program is fully equipped with the essential tools and supplies to create an interactive and engaging learning experience. For example, Medical Assisting students at the Santa Maria campus have access to equipment like an Autoclave, EKG Machine, and Injection Arm Trainer. The skills room for the Vocational Nursing students is equipped with gurneys and mid-fidelity mannequins.
