Exciting news for recent Idaho high school graduates who have been awarded the Idaho LAUNCH grant and for students entering their senior year this fall! Carrington College is now a provider in the Idaho LAUNCH program, a state-sponsored initiative providing grants for education and training programs in high demand fields. This is a unique opportunity you don’t want to miss, so here’s what you need to know:
Idaho LAUNCH Program: Preparing Students for the Workforce
The Idaho LAUNCH grant program is designed to prepare Idaho’s students for the state’s workforce needs by providing financial assistance for education and training programs. Idaho LAUNCH offers grants that cover 80% of tuition and fees at eligible institutions, up to $8,000 per student. With approximately $75 million allocated to the program, it aims to offer between 9,000 and 10,000 awards per year.
Eligibility
- Graduate from an Idaho high school or equivalent
- Be an Idaho resident
- Be enrolled in or have applied to an in-demand career program at an eligible Idaho institution
- Begin enrollment by the Fall semester after graduation
- Complete a Career Pathway Plan or equivalent
- Review the approved list of eligible in-demand careers
Important Dates for high school seniors
- Application Opens: October 3, 2024
- Initial Applications Due: November 30, 2024
- Round 2 Applications Due: February 15, 2025
- Round 3 Applications Due: April 15, 2025
- Contingent Award Letters Sent By: December 31, March 31, and May 31
- Application Closes: April 15, 2025
- Career Pathway Plans Due: May 31, 2025
