What do I need to Succeed in Online Learning?
You Need Focus
From phones buzzing and beeping to people all around you, there are plenty of distractions. You’ll need a quiet place where you can focus and concentrate.
You Need To Write
Online learning means you’ll be submitting your assignments with written responses. So it’s pretty important that you’re comfortable writing.
You Need Self-Discipline
You have more freedom to study around your schedule. You’ll need to stay motivated, learn the material, and meet all your deadlines.
Medical secretaries act as the face of medical practices. They provide vital support tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and processing medical records. As a medical secretary, you’ll need specialized knowledge of medical procedures and technologies. As an important part of the medical office, medical administrative assistants are in high demand. According to ONet Online, the projected employment growth for medical secretaries is 11% between 2018 and 2028. This is much faster than the average job growth for all occupations1.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average mean salary for a medical secretary in May 2018 was $17.83 an hour or $37,090 annually. In California, the hourly mean wage was $20.62, or $42,900 annually2.
