Carrington Students participate Career Day Fair at Estes Elementary School

Recently, Carrington College – Tucson campus participated in the fourth annual Career Day Fair at Estes Elementary School in the Town of Marana, AZ. In April our students and faculty were asked to represent the broad range of careers available to the elementary students. This is the fourth consecutive year that the College has volunteered for the event. Medical Assisting and Dental Assisting students were able to speak directly to the K-6th graders about the importance of dental and health care.

The purpose of Career Day was for the elementary students to speak directly with people who have careers that spark the elementary students’ imaginations and interests. Elementary students learned about careers in all grade levels in their counseling curriculum prior to Career Day.

Estes Elementary School wants their students to relate the careers to real people, and subjects they are learning. They had their cafeteria set up with tables so students could visit the exhibits representing individual careers as well as representatives from local colleges.

This event helps promote community outreach and is a great way to exemplify the values we try to instill in our students. This is another example of Carrington students doing well, by doing good.
