Often acting as the bridge between doctor and patient, Medical Assistants help doctors provide care to patients in physicians’ offices, urgent care facilities, hospitals, labs, research facilities, and other health care settings.

Well trained, knowledgeable health care professionals, Medical Assistants have the skills to take vitals, perform injections and phlebotomy (drawing blood); they can undertake EKGs (electrocardiograms), point of care testing, in office surgery assisting, and provide patient education.  They can also have the skills to undertake administrative tasks such as scheduling, insurance billing, computer use, and more.

From the classroom to the lab, the medical assisting classes at Carrington College are very interactive.
