Pharmacy Technicians

Pharmacy technicians help licensed pharmacists dispense prescription medication to customers and health professionals. Responsibilities include maintaining patient profiles and prescription histories, creating prescription labels, preparing insurance claims, and maintaining accurate inventories. Professional interaction with the public requires good listening and communication skills.

Medical Billing and Coding

Billing and coding specialists assign appropriate diagnoses and procedure codes for patient visits and care that are used for accurate billing for those services. Patient information and treatment services are coded and categorized for insurance reimbursement. Billing and coders are the connection between healthcare providers and billing offices and must maintain accurate, accessible, and secure paper and electronic file systems.
