Carrington College Las Vegas Campus Helps Charlotte Hill Elementary School Students Stock up for Back to School

October 15, 2015
Teachers from Charlotte Hill Elementary School are excited to share the donated items with their students!

The students, faculty and staff at the Carrington College Las Vegas Campus worked hard to collect back to school items for the students at Charlotte Hill Elementary School. They were able to get much needed items like backpacks, notebooks, folders, pens, pencils, markers, crayons and more.

Carrington College chose Charlotte Hill Elementary School because it’s by the campus and the participants wanted to make a positive impact on the local community. The items were donated to the school just before the start of the new school year.

“This was the first year we did this drive and we opened it up to anyone in the community who wanted to participate,” said Annette C. Shoemaker-Kohberger, campus administrative coordinator for Carrington College. “Our philosophy of ‘Carrington Cares’ means we strongly believe that in order to do well we must be doing good work in the community. This drive was something our entire Las Vegas campus was excited to execute.”

While Carrington’s Las Vegas campus places a strong emphasis on healthcare, this event was important for the students, faculty and staff as making a difference with children in the community is an important initiative as well.
