You’ve already started on the path toward your future in health care, now it’s time to take the next step. The Health Information Technology (HIT) Associate of Science Degree program will prepare you for a career in the health information field. Carrington College offers a unique opportunity to career-minded learners who have already earned a Medical Billing and Coding certificate. As part of this degree path, the program may allow you to apply credits from your Medical Billing and Coding certificate to the HIT Associate Degree program at Carrington College. This program is conferred out of Sacramento. Although most courses for this program are delivered in an online format, students are required to complete a 90-hour Health Information Practicum in an approved health care setting.

2. Fixed Tuition Promise is available for all Carrington College students who remain active and in good standing during the duration of their program. Students who withdraw or are withdrawn from school and are not reinstated within 180 days of their last date of attendance are subject to a tuition increase. Students who are required to repeat a course to fulfill graduation requirements are subject to additional expenses.
