Carrington's Nursing Bridge Program

Nursing Bridge/LVN to ADN

Nursing has many different levels ranging from certificates to master’s degrees or even PhDs. This means it’s always an option to return to school and advance your degree. One program designed for just that is our LVN to ADN program. This program is designed for licensed vocational nurses who want to gain an Associate Degree in Nursing. The LVN to ADN program can be completed in as few as eight months.

Practical Nursing / Vocational Nursing

Licensed vocational nurses provide basic medical care under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed physician/dentist. They provide basic bedside care, measure and record patients’ vital signs, assist with bathing, dressing and personal hygiene, administer medications and perform a variety of nursing skills in various healthcare settings. The Carrington College Vocational Nursing program may be a good fit for students who want to get into a healthcare career quickly—the program can be completed in as few as 12 months.

Carrington's Medical Assisting Program

Medical Assisting

Medical assistants are a vital part of any healthcare office, completing administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. A medical assistant may take a patient’s vital signs, record a patient’s history and personal information, and schedule appointments.

Medical Billing and Coding

For those who want less patient care but still want to enter the world of healthcare, medical billing and coding may be a good option. Medical billers and coders help translate what medical professionals do into a language designed for electronic health records (EHRs) and insurance billing. Both the billing aspect and the coding aspect play important parts in the U.S. healthcare system. Without these coders and billers, physicians may struggle to get paid for their services or communicate with other healthcare professionals. Carrington College’s Medical Billing and Coding program can be completed in as few as nine months. *This program is available in a Blended Online Format.

Carrington's Pharmacy Technology Program

Pharmacy Technology

As another option for those who want to interact with the public daily, but who may not want to perform clinical tasks, our Pharmacy Technology program provides a comprehensive education for those who want to work as a pharmacy technician. Pharmacy technicians assistant pharmacists in delivering medications to the public. A pharmacy technician may work in a retail pharmacy like Walgreens or in an in-house pharmacy at medical facilities, among other work settings. Complete your pharmacy technician training in as few as nine months.

Dental Assisting

Dental assistants help hygienists and dentists with routine procedures like passing instruments and sterilizing equipment, and may work to make patients more comfortable as they visit a dental office. Carrington College’s Dental Assisting program includes classes on anatomy, physiology, and radiography, dental sealants and procedures, as well as front office duties and patient care.

Carrington's Dental Hygiene Program

Dental Hygiene

Dental hygienists are often the face of a dental practice, handling the majority of patient care in a routine, preventive visit. Dental hygienists remove tartar and plaque during a dental cleaning, apply treatments such as fluoride and sealants, and educate patients about oral hygiene techniques, such as how to brush and floss correctly. Our Dental Hygiene program uses hands-on instruction to help you prepare for this important job.
Carrington's Veterinary Technology Program

Veterinary Technology

Veterinary technicians work with veterinarians and other medical staff to help care for animals. Vet techs may draw blood, check vitals, administer medications, and communicate with an animal’s owner. Vet techs may work with domestic animals like dogs and cats, small animals like rabbits and mice, or even wildlife. Our Veterinary Technology program can be completed in as few as 19 months.
