May 26, 2016

In Carrington College’s Registered Nursing program[1], you’ll get real world experience before you enter the real world.

Registered Nursing students share what they’ve learned in the program.

The Registered Nursing program combines classroom and lab instruction. In the classroom, students learn about infection control and safety.

“It’s the concepts you learn in the classroom. Medical, critical care and fundamentals,” said student Angela.

“In the lab, we learn how to take blood pressures, how to insert nasal gastric tubes, anything you’d do in a hospital, we learn,” Angela said.

“The labs are simulated to be like you’re actually working in a hospital,” said student Kristin.

“What grabbed me was the lab. We get hands on experience here and that’s what drew me to the program,” student Hilary said.
