Well trained, knowledgeable healthcare professionals, Medical Assistants have the skills to help doctors provide care in a variety of health care settings.  They take vitals, perform injections, and draw blood; point of care testing, in office surgery assisting, and provide patient education, as well as perform administrative tasks.

Students on the Carrington College California Medical Assisting program engage in vibrant discussion, they role play, and have ample opportunity for clinical practice, including an externship to hone their skills.  Culminating in a Certificate of Achievement or an Associate of Science degree, graduates must pass the relevant National Certification Exam to attain the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
