There aren’t too many professions that are growing at a faster rate than Dental Assisting*, so if you’re thinking about a career in dentistry, the Dental Assistant program at Carrington College California is a great place to start.
Dental Assistants are valuable members of a dental team because of the wide variety of duties they perform. As well as assisting chair-side during dental procedures and exams, they also perform a range of patient care, administration and laboratory tasks; duties that require good technical and people skills.
Our Dental Assisting program culminates in either a Certificate of Achievement or an Associate of Science degree. Students learn
patient preparation, charting, and office administration functions, and gain hands-on experience through laboratory and classroom sessions. They can also participate in a clinical externship in a real dental facility off campus.
The Carrington College California Dental Assisting program prepares our graduates for the California Dental Board Exam for licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant^; it also includes preparation to earn the necessary X-ray license and coronal polish certificate.
Our Dental Assisting program provides students with the training they need to help them succeed in a Dental Assisting career; it is
available at all nine of our Carrington College California campus locations –Antioch, Citrus Heights, Emeryville, Pomona, Pleasant
Hill, Sacramento, San Jose, San Leandro, and Stockton.
