Vanessa Forbes brings 16 years of practical veterinary hospital experience to the Carrington Flock. She worked in General Practice, Feline Specialty and Dentistry Specialty before coming to Carrington College in 2011. Forbes wanted to become an educator so she could “have an impact on the future of Veterinary Medicine.”
“It’s important that we share the love of animals and the necessity of their care with students so they can be stewards for the field and promote Veterinary Assisting and Veterinary Technology,” she said.
Students in Carrington’s programs can expect instructors who truly care about their experience. “They want to help them be successful and they love what they do. The Veterinary programs faculty are passionate about helping students succeed,” she said.
When Forbes isn’t helping her students, you’ll find her out on the water! “My family and I love the outdoors. We love to go boating and ride our OHV’s,” she said.
Forbes says it’s important for students to know that “the programs are hard, but this is a small chunk of your life. It’ll be over before you know it. Work hard, stay focused! You can celebrate once you graduate,” she said.
