Travis Matthews worked as an Anti-Terrorism and Firearms Instructor in the United States Navy and as a Command and Control Specialist in the United States Air Force before coming to Carrington College. He also worked as a Federal Corrections Officer for five years before bringing his experience into the classroom. He’s been part of the Carrington Flock since 2008.
Before becoming Carrington’s National Dean for Criminal Justice, Matthews worked as a Criminal Justice Instructor and then as Program Director.
Students can expect “assistance from day one being successful in the Security and Law Enforcement industries.”
Matthews loves helping his students succeed. His favorite part is hearing about their careers after they graduate from Carrington College.
When Matthews isn’t on campus you can bet he’ll be on the road. He loves traveling with his wife and has been to 18 different countries and 28 different states!
Matthews has a great outlook on his career and hopes he can share it with you. “Find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life,” he said.
