Nichole grew up in foster care ever since she was two months old. During the time she was 14-to-16 years old, she went to about 15 different schools. When she turned 16, she emancipated herself from the foster care system and began taking care of herself. Her ex-husband left her and her son shortly after her son’s first birthday, giving her the drive to go back to school and become successful. She made a promise to her son that he would never go through what she went through when she was younger. She earned her certificate in Medical Assisting and has a steady job that allows her and her son to live a comfortable life.
