I first attended Carrington in 1986 and studied in the Dental Assisting program. I was offered a position with a local oral surgeon as an oral surgery assistant immediately after graduation. In 1990 I married and went to work for my husband who owned a construction company. In 2008 I went through a hard divorce but decided to go back to college and do something I truly was passionate about…..working with pets!. At 47 years of age I graduated with honors from the Veterinary Assisting Program at Carrington College and was offered the very first job I applied for. After almost 2 years I am still employed with the same local Veterinary Clinic and truly love my position. Thank you so very much for being the reason I have always had a great job! The veterinary assisting program was fabulous!. I use the knowledge and skills I was taught on a daily basis in my position and must compliment all the wonderful instructors for the great job they all did in preparing me for my new carreer position.
