Our Carrington College® online Health Studies program allows alumni who have already earned a Certificate of Achievement to continue their health care education and complete an Associate of Science degree in Health Studies.
In addition, those who have successfully completed a certificate program with a minimum of at least 24-semester credit hours (at an approved post-secondary institution) applicable to a health-related major or vocational program and have at least a 2.0 GPA, may begin the Health Studies program. Students must also own or have unrestricted access to a computer with reliable internet access and an email account.
To earn your Associate degree in Health Studies, an additional 36-semester credit hours of general education courses are required. Some of the courses include:
- Principles of Nutrition
- Computer Literacy
- Interpersonal Communication
- Introduction to Sociology
- Principles of Mathematics
The online Health Studies program allows you the flexibility to take the courses “anytime, anywhere.” You will also have online access 24 hours a day, seven days a week and a student portal where you may interact with classmates and instructors.
