Western Career College Appoints Dean of Academic Operations and Student Records Manager
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – (April 21, 2010) – Western Career College is pleased to announce the promotions of Kim Pablo to dean of academic operations and Jamme Cheng to student records manager at their home office. Previously, Pablo served as dean of academic affairs and Cheng as student services coordinator.
“Kim’s extensive history in the education sector and Jamme’s diverse background have made them crucial members of our leadership team,” said Jeff Akens, president of Western Career College. “They are examples of the commitment to excellence Western Career College strives for in our students, faculty and staff.”
As dean of academic operations, Pablo will work with campus deans to promote an effective environment of academic and professional excellence for students and faculty. Her initiatives will also support services including orientation, tutoring and measuring student satisfaction. Pablo has 18 years of experience as an executive leader and education administrator. Prior to her position as dean of academic operations, she served as Western Career College dean of academic affairs in Sacramento and president of Universal Technical Institute. Pablo holds a master’s degree in organization leadership and management and is currently working on her doctorate degree.
Cheng will provide strategic and forward-looking management for the daily operation of the student records department at Western Career College and serves on the executive council as chair of the student records committee. Cheng holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and economics from Humboldt State University and a Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
