Carrington College California Pleasant Hill Expands Programs in Business and Accounting
PLEASANT HILL, Calif. – (Jan. 17, 2012) – Carrington College® California Pleasant Hill, a part of DeVry Inc. a global provider of educational services, announces the addition of associate degree programs in business and accounting to its curriculum. Applications for these programs are currently being accepted with classes scheduled to begin on Feb. 27.

Programs in the business field focus on developing an understanding of economics, finance, human resources, management and sales, through hands-on classroom curriculum and real-world experiences. In a culminating capstone project, accounting students exercise knowledge gained throughout the coursework to complete a financial analysis of a proposed merger by preparing budgets and reports. Students in the business program are tasked with designing a complete business plan and implementation timeline for a new company. These programs were previously offered only in an online capacity and will now be available at select campuses.
Located at 380 Civic Dr., Suite 300, Carrington College California Pleasant Hill prepares students to succeed in competitive and professional environments through a well-rounded education that focuses on strategic communication, critical thinking and computer proficiency and offers insight into a range of industries. Associate degree programs consist of 22 different fields of study that are offered year-round and provide flexible class schedules.
Although U.S. unemployment numbers hover at a national average of 9.1 percent, the Bureau of Labor Statistics anticipates favorable to excellent job growth projections for careers in business and accounting. Career opportunities exist in nationally-and internationally-held public companies, private firms and government entities.
