MESQUITE, Texas – (Nov. 22, 2011) – Carrington College is proud to announce the opening of its newest campus in Mesquite, located at 3733 West Emporium. The college is now accepting applications for classes in medical assisting and dental assisting, which are expected to begin on Feb. 27. This is the first Carrington College location in Texas.
“Carrington College prides itself on the hands-on classroom training and SimLink™ Experience lab that prepares students to enter health care professions with the confidence and skills to succeed,” said Tamara Rozhon, Ed.D., president of Carrington College. “This is a great opportunity for Carrington College to extend our services into Texas and we look forward to connecting with the community.”
At its new location, Carrington College will offer certificate programs in medical assisting and dental assisting as well as a SimLink™ Experience lab which is a system of learning that uses an advanced simulation environment and custom-made scenarios. These ten-month programs are offered year-round and help prepare students for employment opportunities in physicians’ or dental offices, clinics, health care centers, hospitals or other health care facilities. Clinical, administrative and externship training are included in the medical assisting coursework, while students in the dental assisting program will expand their skills performing administrative duties, patient preparation and post-operative care.
