Carrington College has announced the appointment of Antonio Thompson as executive director of the Tucson campus. Prior to joining Carrington College, Thompson served as project manager central services and business instructor for DeVry University. Both colleges are part of DeVry Inc., a global provider of career services.
At DeVry University, Thompson played a key role in successfully implementing customer service programs across the entire school and prepared projects to build credibility, establish rapport and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels. In addition, he has served as admissions administrative manager and academic records coordinator for DeVry University, operations manager for Kaplan Test Prep and admissions and maintenance production manager for the United States Air Force.
“Antonio has proved himself as an exceptional leader with his ability to activate change within organizations as well as facilitate business growth,” said Tamara Rozhon, Ed.D., president of Carrington College. “His advancement really speaks to the depth of talent in the DeVry family and we are pleased to welcome him to Carrington College.”
Thompson holds a Master of Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management, Bachelor of Science degree in operations and information management from Northern Illinois University and Associate’s Degree in maintenance production management from Community College of the Air Force.
In his new position, Thompson will be directly responsible for the successful operation of the campus, including financial performance and implementing initiatives to increase student and staff satisfaction in the college’s programs and services.
