PORTLAND, Ore. – (Feb. 15, 2012) – Carrington College Portland, a part of DeVry Inc., a global provider of educational services, has announced the promotion of Leslie Gonzales to executive director of the Portland campus. Gonzales previously served as executive director of the college’s Reno campus.
In her role at Carrington College Reno, Leslie led the grand opening of the new campus, launched a highly successful nursing program and built a strong management team to support students. Prior to joining the college she held various leadership positions in the higher education sector. These roles include corporate financial aid manager for Prospect Education, director of student financial services for The Art Institute of California-San Diego and The Art Institute of Las Vegas, business services manager for Edison Schools and financial services supervisor for University of Phoenix.
“In her time at Carrington, Leslie has done an exceptional job developing an atmosphere of excellence which translates into successful outcomes for our students,” said Tamara Rozhon, Ed.D., president of Carrington College. “Her advancement really speaks to the depth of talent in the DeVry family and we are pleased to welcome her to the Portland campus.”
In her new position, Gonzales will be directly responsible for the successful operation of the campus, including financial performance and implementing initiatives to increase student and staff satisfaction in the college’s programs and services.
Gonzales holds a Master’s degree in organizational management from University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science degree in counseling psychology from University of Great Falls.
