PHOENIX – (August 22, 2011) – Carrington Colleges Group, a part of DeVry Inc., a global provider of educational services, has announced the appointment of Melissa Esbenshade as vice president of marketing. In her new position, Esbenshade will be responsible for creating, leading and managing marketing strategies to recruit and retain students for Carrington Colleges Group, which is comprised of Carrington College® and Carrington College® California.

Prior to joining Carrington Colleges Group, Esbenshade served as vice president of marketing for Universal Technical Institute where she led a team that reduced response time to prospective students, enhanced the quality of student inquiries and optimized the marketing mix. She also spent nine years at General Electric in positions that included industry marketing manager and vice president of marketing and product development for GE Money Sales Finance.

Esbenshade holds a Master of Business Administration in services marketing and management from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Richmond.
