Carrington College® California Pomona will host Veterans Care-A-Thon Marathon on Nov. 16-17 offering complimentary health services and career advising to Veterans, their families and pets in honor of their dedication to the United States and to assist with the transition back into civilian life. Health services will include free flu shots for the first 100 people, available from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.; basic dental exams and oral hygiene kits; glucose screening; hemoglobin testing; blood pressure monitoring; weight and height measurements and complimentary flee prevention applications for family dogs and cats. Career advisors will be on-hand to assist with questions regarding areas of career advancement, such as emerging career opportunities, continued schooling and resume building, and student finance representatives will be available to discuss how Veterans can utilize military education benefits.
Attendees must show a valid form of military identification, including U.S. Uniform Services ID Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), photograph of Veteran in uniform, wear uniform if service permits, Veterans Organization Card, DD214 or discharge paperwork. Veterans bringing pets for flee prevention applications must have them leashed or kenneled.
