The online courses include instruction related to the theory and practice of visual communication, and prepare students for positions as graphic designers, production artists, web designers, multimedia developers, and video editors.
Upon completion of the online Graphic Design degree program, graduates will be able to:
- Produce a portfolio that demonstrates proficiency in a range of graphic design skills and use of industry-standard design software.
- Demonstrate proficiency in critical thinking, information management, personal and professional development, communication skills, respect and responsibility.
- Demonstrate understanding of the elements of enhanced visual design, including the concepts related to digital imaging such as editing, optimizing, and preparing images for web-based delivery.
- Demonstrate a practical understanding of print production, including preparing files for output to film and plate, theoretical knowledge of printing processes, and some pre-press functions.
- Demonstrate understanding of guidelines and applications for development of technical reports with graphics, technical proposals, business letters, and memos.
- Demonstrate the integration of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator into cohesive developed print designs.

Total Credit Hours: 61 (Approximate time to complete: 15 months)
Tuition & Fees*: Tuition for students enrolled in online programs is $400 per credit hour. The tuition rate for active duty military personnel is $250 per credit hour.
