The Associate of Science Degree in Computer Technology prepares graduates to enter the field of computer science as technical professionals in a variety of industries. Graduates of this online program will have the knowledge and skills needed to serve in multidisciplinary work teams that integrate computer and technical environments with other business solutions and play important roles in supporting software and hardware solutions to business enterprises.

Upon completion of the Computer Technology online program, graduates will be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of the basic components of a computer, including software, hardware, and operating systems and illustrate a wide array of data communications systems.
- Serve in multidisciplinary work teams that integrate computer and technical environments with other business solutions.
- Support software and hardware solutions to business enterprises.
- Demonstrate proficiency in critical thinking, information management, personal and professional development, communication skills, respect and responsibility.
- Construct a functional database including securing data transmissions through encryption, firewall implementation, and virtual private networks (VPNs).
- Demonstrate beginning, intermediate, and advanced programming skills using Visual Basic, Java, and other programs.
