New Name, Same Goal
Western Career College was founded in 1967 in Sacramento, California as Northwest College of Medical Assistants and Dental Assistants. The college was established to meet the educational needs of the local health care community, laying the foundation for what has become Western Career College 16 years later. In 2010, Western Career College changed its name to Carrington College® California to better reflect the educational quality and commitment to student achievement.
Carrington College California has been a leader in the education space for more than four decades. We began with a simple goal: To change the lives of our students. Not just to teach them or to provide career services, but to help each and every one of our students grow as individuals while pursuing professions that truly fit them. Carrington College California has awarded over 27,000 certificates and degrees since 1994, today we are proud of our success. Furthermore, we’re proud that our goal remains the same. Our students put their trust in Carrington College California. They come in search of a challenge, an opportunity, and a better tomorrow. In return, our faculty and staff provide those students the education they need to achieve what they’re looking for.
Education is what we do. You might say we’re a little obsessed with it. By watching industry trends and statistics, we know what skills and specialties are in demand.
