Carrington College California is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACCJC/WASC), 10 Commercial Blvd., Suite 204, Novato, CA 94949, 415 506 0234. WASC is an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.

The Dental Hygiene program at the Sacramento and San Jose campuses is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education. The Medical Assisting program at the Antioch, Citrus Heights, Emeryville, Pleasant Hill, Sacramento, San Jose, San Leandro, and Stockton campuses is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon the recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board. The Carrington College California Physical Therapist Assistant Program has been granted Candidate for Accreditation status by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (111 North Fairfax Street, Alexandria, VA 22314; phone: 703-706-3245; email: accreditation@apta.org). Candidacy is not an accreditation status nor does it assure eventual accreditation. Candidacy for accreditation is a pre-accreditation status of affiliation with the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education that indicates the program is progressing toward accreditation.

The Pharmacy Technology program conducted by Carrington College California at the Antioch, Citrus Heights, Emeryville, Pleasant Hill, Sacramento, San Jose, San Leandro, and Stockton campuses is accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists, 7272 Wisconsin Avenue Bethesda, MD 20814, 301 657 3000, www.ashp.org/accreditation

The Respiratory Care program at the Pleasant Hill campus holds a Letter of Review from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care, 1248 Harwood Road, Bedford, Texas 76021-4244, 817 283 2835, www.coarc.com.

The Surgical Technology program at the Citrus Heights and San Jose campuses is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. The Veterinary Technology program at the Citrus Heights, Pleasant Hill, Sacramento, San Jose, San Leandro, and Stockton campuses is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association as a program for educating veterinary technicians, www.avma.org/education/cvea/cvtea_home.asp

In accordance with California Education Code (Title 3, Division 10, Part 59, Chapter 8, Private Postsecondary Institutions, Article 4, Exemptions), Carrington College California is exempt from the California state approval process due to ACCJC/WASC accreditation.

The Emeryville and Pomona campuses have provisional approval.

Carrington College California retains copies of all approval and accreditation documents on display near the Admissions Offices on each campus. Copies are available upon request, and can be obtained from the Dean and Academic Affairs at each campus.
