The U.S. Bureau of Labor & Statistics forecasts that employment of Radiologic Technologists is expected to increase by about 17 percent from 2008 to 2018; that’s faster than the average for all occupations.** Why? Because as the U.S. population grows and gets older, there will be an increased demand for diagnostic imaging because with age comes increased incidence of illness and injury, which often requires imaging for diagnosis.
The Medical Radiography program at our Phoenix Westside campus culminates in an Associate of Science degree in Medical Radiography. Graduates of the degree program must then successfully complete the certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
