Mesa is well known for the dust storms that regularly blow through during our monsoon summers; and we all know that during these ‘haboobs’, breathing isn’t easy, even with healthy lung function. But imagine if you always had problems breathing, even on a beautifully clear, sunny Arizona day.

Respiratory Therapists perform diagnostic procedures and treatments that provide relief to those who have difficulty breathing, or can’t breathe on their own due to conditions such as birth defects, asthma, bronchitis, lung cancer, and heart attack or stroke, as well as treating trauma victims and surgery patients.

Our Respiratory Care associate degree program, available at our Mesa campus, offers students the hands-on training they need to succeed in a career as a Respiratory Therapist. So, if you’re looking for a Respiratory Care school in Mesa, consider Carrington College because:

  • The degree program is an interesting mix of formal classroom instruction, lab exercises, and clinical experiences
  • Our Mesa program is designed to meet strict NBRC standards (National Board of Respiratory Care)
  • We prepare you to sit the NBRC credentialing exam - the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) exam**
