Enrollment Process

Enrollment ProcessApplying to college doesn't have to be an overwhelming experience. In fact, it can be easy when you have the right people helping you along the way. Your Enrollment Services Representative is there to walk you through Carrington's enrollment process.

1. Interview with an Enrollment Services Representative. Some programs also require an interview with the Program Director or a member of the instructional staff.

2. Complete an Entrance examination. A skills assessment evaluation is required as part of the admissions process for all programs. The examination and cut scores vary by program. Speak with an Enrollment Services Representative for information regarding the specific assessment tool and retesting policy used by each program and campus.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) assessment/testing policy: Carrington College recognizes the obligation to provide overall accessibility throughout its campuses for persons with disabilities. Individuals seeking special accommodations under ADA for completing the entrance assessment evaluation/testing must provide professional documentation of disability. For specific information regarding reasonable accommodations for entrance assessments/testing for disabled individuals, contact the campus executive director.

3. Complete an Enrollment application.

4. Meet educational requirements. Evidence of meeting a specific educational requirement must be received and accepted by the College no later than five days* from the start of the student’s first class. Contact your Enrollment Services Representative or refer to the Academic Catalog for specific requirements.

* Extenuating circumstances: If the required documentation cannot be obtained within five days either due to the student’s former school being out of session or because the transcript is from outside the US, these documents must be evaluated and then the executive campus director may extend the five-day requirement up to, but not exceeding, 30 calendar days from start date of the student’s first class.

In addition, students enrolled in Medical Assisting, Health Care Administration, Nursing, and Pharmacy Technology must adhere to the Caregiver criminal history screening policy and procedure.

6. Payment of a registration fee when applicable.

7. Application approval. Once the executive campus director or dean of academic affairs finds that the prospective student meets program entrance requirements and has the academic and personal qualifications for success in the chosen certificate or degree program, the application is approved.

8. Where required, a statement of general health.
