Kelly King brings more than three decades of experience in medicine to Carrington, and she loves sharing her knowledge with students. As a physical therapist, she focused on neurology and neurorehabilitation/pediatrics. She also owned a pediatric private practice where she worked with physical, occupational and speech therapists. “I truly enjoyed every minute of being a health care provider and have learned so much from the transdisciplinary teams I have worked on,” she said.
King previously served as Program Director for the Physical Therapist Assistant program and as the Dean of Academic Affairs. “I am truly committed to providing a high quality education for our students. I have a very high standard for our program directors, instructors and staff,” she said.
King has always been an avid runner. When she was 12, she ran cross country in the National Junior Olympics. These days, you’ll find her running, biking and enjoying the Arizona mountains with family.
She had this advice to share with students. “Begin with the end in mind. If you never lose sight of the reason or goal you set when you came to Carrington, then no obstacle will stand in your way.”
