Jamie Larson has been both a student and instructor at Carrington College, and she’s so excited to take on the role of National Dean! She spent eight years as Veterinary Technology Program Director and also served as Dean of Academic Affairs before taking on this new role in 2016.
“I have personally experienced the benefits and life opportunities that come from this career and graduating from our college,” she said.
Larson brings a wealth of hands-on experience to the veterinary programs. She’s worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician in small animal private practice, emergency medicine, large animal handling and husbandry.
“Teaching gives me the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience in this amazing field with the next generation of veterinary technicians and assistants,” she said.
Larson’s students can expect to work with caring and compassionate veterinary professionals in the Veterinary Technology and Veterinary Assisting programs, instructors who understand the importance of educating and will encourage students with their real-world experiences.
As an animal lover, it probably isn’t surprising that Larson has quite a few of her own. She has five dogs, three cats and a horse.
When Larson isn’t on campus, you’ll find her at the beach and spending time with family.
